Worship

FOUNDRY is a church that worships God and gathers to give thanks for God’s love.

April 24, 2011 was a special day for FOUNDRY UMC. At 6 a.m. on a beautiful Easter morning, we watched the sun rise over Mt. San Miguel and Otay Lake while we held our very first worship service. We were doubly joyful as we celebrated the Resurrection and the new community where FOUNDRY would serve. As Rev. Christian DeMent and four other United Methodist ministers served communion that morning, a precedent was set and a pattern was established. FOUNDRY is a church that worships God and gathers to give thanks for God’s love. It is also a place where Christ’s sacrifice on the cross is remembered and commemorated.

FOUNDRY Worship Services

  • Sunday morning services are held every week at our newly-created site at 861 Harold Place in Chula Vista.  Sunday school is provided at the adjacent Mon Petit Chateau for children two years old through sixth grade.
  • FOUNDRY worship includes prayer, Bible study, communion, music and community interaction.
  • Worship is a community experience that often utilizes many people working together, sharing their gifts and talents. What might your role be at a FOUNDRY worship service? Are you outgoing and welcoming? Could you help provide refreshments? Are you a talented musician? Are you technically savvy and able to help with audio-visual needs? Want to teach Sunday school?  We welcome your help and encourage your involvement!
