There’s nothing like a brisk walk to clear your head and get energized! Pastor Christian will be leading a community walk at 5 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays of each month beginning April 18. Walkers will meet at Mountain Hawk Park and explore new trails and pathways each week. Join us — with your stroller, with your leashed dog or with your best friend. We look forward to walking and talking with you!
Call for information about our small group that meets regularly to discuss our faith, deepen our relationships and prayerfully support one another through lifes ups and downs. Childcare is provided. 619-670-4009 x233
Family Movie Nights Under the Stars are back this summer — with a twist! In cooperation with the mayor’s Campaign for Grade-Level Reading, all the movies being presented will tie-in with a book that students can read ahead of time for a special prize. For June 29, start reading Mr. Popper’s Penguins by Richard and Florence Atwater. Then to prepare for July 29th’s film, read Dolphin Tale: The Junior Novel (Scholastic.) Finally, check out Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax so you will be ready for our final film on August 31. All showings will be at Montevalle Recreation Center, 840 Duncan Rd. at 8 p.m. Free movie snacks and drinks will be provided. Bring a beach chair or something to sit on; and don’t forget a jacket, because it can get chilly. See you there!
Mark your calendars for September 9, 2012 when Foundry United Methodist Church officially opens its doors to the public. Woship and Celebration will be the order of the day!
